When it comes to placing a rug in your home, there are some general guidelines to consider. For a 5x8 rug, it is recommended to keep furniture legs off the rug, making it a perfect center for a small space. Leave 18 to 24 inches of exposed floor around the perimeter. An 8x10 rug will fill the visual space of a seating area, and all furniture should have the front legs placed around the edges while maintaining 18 to 24 inches of exposed floor. A 9x12 rug will fill most rooms, with all furniture placed directly on top to create an intimate space, while again leaving 18 to 24 inches of exposed floor.

Upon arrival, the rug may have minor creases from tight packaging, but these typically flatten within 5-7 days. To expedite this process, roll the rug pattern side up and gently massage by hand to help ease it flat. Placing it in a sunny room can also help, as heat loosens the backing.

Cleaning our rugs is super easy – simply remove any spills with a clean, wet cloth by blotting the area. Avoid rubbing, as it can make stains harder to remove. For tougher stains, use a solution of water and dish detergent before blotting with a clean, wet, and then dry cloth.
