When your rug arrives, it may be factory rolled and have creases from packaging and storage. Typically, these creases will flatten within 5-7 days. You can speed up this process by rolling the rug with the pattern side up and gently massaging the creases to loosen them. Placing the rug in a sunny room can also help further loosen the backing.
